Five reasons to use Google Chrome (or IE9 Beta)

From Richi Jennings. 16 September 2010.
(GOOG)

Yesterday, Preston Gralla which his five reasons to use Internet Explorer 9.Today, here's the riposte Richi juste: fanboi for free, no apology: I give you: five reasons for Windows users to switch to Google chrome, instead of IE9 beta. Yes, this is Big appearance again…

It's faster
Preston said IE9 is faster than previous versions--but it's not really saying much. As he points out the chrome was the fastest browser in the tests: 25% faster than IE9.

(Aside: I agree with him that is slow to the latest beta of Firefox 4.)

This increases the screen real estate
As rightly pointed out by Preston, IE9 new clean look is inherited from chrome.Firefox 4 does the same thing, but as FF4, and IE9 wastes space above the tabs at the maximum. it may seem a small thing, but as more of us turn to wide screen 16: 9 or 16: 10, vertical space is at a premium, relatively speaking.

IE9 compensates, tabs and address bar ' one ' putting on the same line, but it just has a limit on the amount of space that you can use the tabs in chrome a decision to liquidate the title makes sense.

In fact there are useful additions
Preston was impressed by the performance monitor, add-ins in IE9, but that would be more useful if there was a decently-sized community writers add-ins for your browser.

Firefox has this for some time, of course. Chrome went from a wide selection of Add-ons in what seems like the blink of an eye.

(Aside: Yes, I know I promised to post the list best Add-ons Chrome. patience is a virtue.)

It also integrates with Windows 7
Although there's no easier way to pin the site icon on the taskbar, chrome support jumplists most visited sites, recently closed Windows.

In other words, right-click on the icon for chrome on the taskbar, and you're presented with two pop-up lists that Chrome automatically creates for you a contains sites that you frequently visit--the same list that you get in a new tab. another contains tabs you closed recently, in case you want to open them.

In the address bar supports Instant Google
Almost everyone is raving about Google Instant. What is betting that the next stable beta build chrome supports this functionality directly from the address bar?
