(NOK)
If you thought Nokia in deep trouble, I think you would be right ... To trouble: lacks leadership, poor platforms, bumpy phones. Let's take a look at the challenges of the future in big ...
Lack of leadership
The current CEO, Olli Pekka Kallasvuo, "outta here" tattooed on his forehead. It shall be replaced by Stephen Elop. Despite the fact that it is good for Nokia is assigned to an outsider, Elop has some major culture shock.Leading Finnish company is a very different kettle of fish with his previous experience with Microsoft, Juniper and Adobe.
In the meantime, Anssi Vanjoki---Nokia honcho for smartphones--also quit. I w mill said he was not a happy Bunny, when he heard that he wasn't getting Olli Pekka corner office.
So Nokia faces vacuum critical stages Nokia World, its premiere client events as I write, website maintains that Vanjoki is speaking at the event tomorrow. Amazing; I dare say there are some frantic scrambling going on behind the scenes.
Poor platforms
Ignoring all the features of Nokia platforms, platform software for charities, it's a bit of a mess.
Who really thinks Symbian continues to have the opportunity to challenge the iOS and Android?Nokia will make a lot of noise this week about the new version, Symbian ^ 3, but it's just a stop gap until ^ 4 ready next year.
Symbian ^ 4 looks very much like it's too little, too late.I also can't help but think that moving the Qt user interface as the proverbial lipstick on a pig.
And then we have MeeGo, which, of course, the successor to the hideous Maemo. first, we saw that on a Nokia 770 awful and mostly pointless: ' nuff said.
Sharp phones
And last but not least where device for smart phones such as iPhone 4, Droid, the Evo X and S Galaxy?-not to mention the tablets from Apple, Dell, and millions of Chinese manufacturers.
Nokia N8 too little, too late, he's going to be too slow for Smartphone premium and seems to lack any expanded distribution by establishing carrier relationships for the US market--not subsidized prices low header.
It's curtains for Nokia?
This isn't really a story, that's for sure. When can be seen even Gartner inscription on the wall, you know something smells in Espoo.
